2. All you need is a computer and a broadband Internet connection (all connections over 128kbps will work great).Some users will prefer to get an IP phone or ATA and use it to place calls as it’s more convenient, but using your computer and our software you can start placing calls right away.

3. Sure, we will even assist you in setting up your VoIP device so that it works with our service. Most VoIP phones and adapters support SIP or h.323 and we support both. However keep in mind that you will need some basic knowledge and to have your users’ manual in order to modify the settings of your VoIP device.

4. Yes. Using our services you can call regular land lines and mobile phones. We also support most toll free numbers worldwide, however keep in mind that we won’t route calls to premium numbers (those with a premium fee per minute added to your phone bill, such as phone sex numbers, astrology hotlines, etc.) nor emergency or service numbers (like directory assistance, emergency numbers, local police, firemen, etc.).

6. We always go for the pre-paid mode for new accounts. That’s because in order to keep our rates as low as possible, we need to make sure that we won’t have any extra collections charges. For large callers, credit and post-paid can be arranged and it’s reviewed on a case by case basis.

7. Yes. Asterisk and most IP enabled PBXs support SIP which you can use to connect to our network. We can provide sample configs for both incoming (DIDs) and outgoing (termination) calls.

9. Sure, as soon as your account is set up we will give you access to our customer portal where you can access your full call logs or CDR (call detail records) as well as your remaining balance, payments history and updated rates.

10. No. As our VoIP services are portable, which means that you can take them wherever you want, it’s impossible for us to know your current location so we can’t route emergency calls to the proper emergency center. For emergency calls you’ll need to use a regular phone
line or a mobile phone.

11. No. VoIP isn’t yet a mature technology to replace standard phone lines. Even though it’s growing and improving every day there are still a lot of failure points (like a disruption in your internet connectivity, power loss, etc.) that could render your service useless temporarily. We recommend to use VoIP in order to save on long distance calls and to get access to a load of advanced functions but not as a replacement for regular phone lines.
